Joining Barclays Capital in 1997, Jonathan headed up the legal teams supporting repo and equity financing (including prime brokerage), hedge fund sales and structured OTC derivative transaction management
Jonathan also spent a year assisting in the implementation of guidelines, operating procedures and reporting processes for the Barclays Capital Documentation Unit (a global team that manages all master agreement negotiations). Latterly Jonathan held the role of Director, Head of Structured Products managing a team responsible for the execution and distribution of structured products across all asset classes to both institutional and retail investors.
Upon leaving Barclays Capital in 2007, Jonathan joined the Derivatives Consulting Group to establish their legal consulting practice. Jonathan left DCG in early 2009 to set up DRS.

David began his career at Barclays Capital, joining the Legal department in 1997 where he subsequently qualified as a solicitor. During the following nine years David gained in-depth experience and knowledge in a wide variety of derivatives, capital market and structured products.
Prior to leaving the Legal department in 2006, David was a Director and managed the Fund-linked Derivatives and Equity Derivatives legal teams, also providing support to other product areas and to the Barclays Capital Documentation Unit. David moved to a front office role in the Investor Solutions sales team in early 2006, focusing on Fund-linked Derivatives and Equity Financing products for Barclays Capital’s top tier asset management and private banking clients.
David left Barclays Capital in 2008, going on to join the Derivatives Consulting Group as a consultant. David left DCG to set up DRS in 2009.

Sean previously managed the legal department at Mitsui & Co. Energy Risk Management Ltd (MERM) overseeing the documentation of MERM’s global derivatives trading relationships with all classes of counterparties. Sean has particular expertise in relation to the global commodities markets, and chaired the Energy Derivatives 2008 (London) Conference delivering both a current state of affairs in energy markets update, and a presentation on the current documentation landscape for energy derivatives.
Prior to MERM, Sean spent 12 years at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft, working in the London and New York Capital Markets and Project Finance Departments on a wide variety of matters, including securitizations/ABS programmes, public bond issues and derivatives transactions. Sean is a dual qualified lawyer (England & Wales, New York Bar).

Michael is a Managing Partner of DRS. He joined Barclays Capital in 2001 working first as a derivatives lawyer and then as a senior structurer within the Complex Transactions Team forming part of the Equity and Funds Structured Markets trading desk. Here, he specialised in the design and documentation of derivatives linked to mutual funds, hedge funds, equities and indices.
Michael left Barclays Capital to join DRS in October 2010 where he has responsibility for the firm’s regulatory practice, with a particular focus on Recovery and Resolution Plans, Client Money and central counterparty clearing. Michael has appeared as a panel expert in a number of industry events on such topics as central counterparty clearing and CASS Resolution Packs.

Gary joined the Gilts market operations of the Bank of England in 1985, moving to Banca Commerciale Italiana in 1991 to set up its interest rate swaps operations in combination with an FX spot trading role. In 1996 Gary joined ABN-AMRO to manage the Interest Rate, Fixed Income, FX and Money Market confirmation teams, re-locating to Amsterdam in 2002 to co-ordinate a project to open a structured derivative confirmations area for ING Bank.
Gary returned to London in 2004 to manage the interest rate confirmations team for RBS before joining Derivatives Consulting Group (subsequently Sapient Global Markets) in 2006 where he managed a wide range of operational projects and trained a range of staff internally and externally, notably at HSBC Kuala Lumpur for a new outsourcing project and Barclays Capital operations in Glasgow for a near-shoring project.
In early 2011 Gary joined Bank of America Merrill Lynch as Global Head of Collateral Operations Projects, running projects in relation to, amongst others, SPV collateralization, industry initiatives and reg reform. Gary joined DRS in May 2012.
